First Day Of School

Olivia was so excited to start school today, last week she asked if she could go to school tomarrow. I told her sorry but your teacher isn't there to teach you yet, so she started counting how many days until school started. She thought it was so fun to get to school and see all the kids lining up and ready for school. Will thought it was fun to stand in line with Olivia while we were waiting for school to start.

The next pictures are Madalynn sitting in the tub all by herself with no tub ring she loved it and was splashing around. My kids are getting so big and I can't believe Madalynn will be 1 in a month, wow how time flies by.

Roseola Baby

Well this week has been a very interesting week, Madalynn woke up on Tuesday morning covered in little red spots, I was concerned. so we called a doctor and a nurse told us she was probably having a reaction to the amoxicillan she was taking for an ear infection and to give her benadryl and it would go away. The next morning it was even worse so I chose a doctor to go see and he informed me that she had roseola, not knowing what that was. He explained that it was a viral infection that kids 2 years old and younger usually get. That it is highly contagious for a day or two then not anymore, so contagious that if a baby with it could pass another baby in a store and pass it on with no contact. We learned a lot about roseola and now that she has had it she will never have it again. Also the doctor thinks it is highly likely that our 2 others have had it they just didn't get the rash, the had cold symptoms and a fever so we didn't know it was roseola. Not all kids get the rash so we had no idea it was roseola. The doctor says it doesn't hurt the child at all the worst part is the itching and that kept Madalynn up the 3 nights James was home for his weekend. I took this picture on Friday so this was not the worst of it she had that rash everywhere and it was a little worse than in the picture, when I took the picture her face and arms had mostly cleared up. She and I got our 1st whole night of sleep last night so I was very happy this morning.

Daddy Is Home!!!!!

Today started out great then slowed down then got even better. The day started out happy and excited that daddy was coming home, then as the time came closer to go to the airport for James we found out that his flight was delayed due to severe weather in Las Vegas ( where he had a layover). The kids immediately got a little sadder and I had to quickly explain that daddy was still coming he just would be a little late getting here. Then it was time to go get him and the kids were so excited and happy that they were going to get daddy from the airport. So needless to say I am very happy to have him home for the weekend and for the help with the kids, it has been a very long 10 days. Olivia started out by having a hard time with daddy being gone and got sick or made herself sick we are not sure, then I broke out with a red rash all over my torso after going to the doctor we found out it was hives allergic reaction or stress, let me guess which one it was, I think stress! Then I had 2 sleepless nights with Madalynn and had to take her to the doctor and found out she had a ear infection. So needless to say we had a very crazy 10 days and hope James being here will add some normalcy to life!
