Carving Pumpkins!

We went up to North Ogden this past weekend to visit Grandpa & Grandma Chadwick, they had pumpkins to carve with the kids. Olivia and Will were so excited to do this, we got them done and brought them back to Grandpa & Grandma Hanson's house the kids love having them here to look at. We had a great day up in Ogden and the kids had special time with the Chadwicks.

Skeleton's Bedtime!

This made James and I laugh so hard, when we went to tuck the kids into bed we saw this on a chair in the kids room. They were very serious when they said " They need a place to sleep to." It was so funny and cute to see!

Skating Party!!

Last Thursday we went to Olivia's friend Kooper's birthday party he had it at the skating rink. Olivia was so excited to go skating, but she has only been once before so I was a little nervous. I was going to rent skates and go out with them but ended up falling earlier that day and twisted my ankle so I couldn't skate. We got there and Olivia got regular skates and it really freaked her out she had no control and was slipping everywhere. So we checked and they had the learning skates you put over your shoes in her size but she was still nervous. Neither of the kids wanted to go out without me so I rented skates and went out Olivia immediatly was doing great and going on her own. Will and I went from one poll to the next and he said I'm done I don't want to skate anymore, I was relieved because my ankle was really hurting and I felt like I had never skated before it was a weird feeling. Anyway the party was fun and the kids loved getting a goody bag at the end.

Alpine Loop

Today Will, Madalynn, and I went for a drive up the Alpine Loop while Olivia was in school. It was very pretty and there were lots of others doing the same, looking at the pretty scenery and taking pictures. We got to see a little bit of snow on the ground but mainly it was on the mountains. I love the fall colors up against a snow capped mountain I like that there are such differences in them but they are beautiful together. Will thought it was cool to be going higher and higher and wanted to get out and walk on the mountain, I told him that daddy would take him when he came this weekend. It was not possible today because I had Madalynn, so he is excited to ask daddy to take him!

Happy Birthday Madalynn!!

WOW! I can't believe she is already 1 year old! She is getting very big, she still doesn't crawl but is very mobile, she scoots on her bum. Or she is very fast at turning in a complete circle on her bum when trying to see what is going on around her. She loves scrunching up her nose and sniffing (not sure if that is the right word, oh well) she especially loves doing it to Aunt Heather. We just took her to the doctor and she is 18 pounds 5 ounces and is 28 3/4 inches. She is mostly happy, she has been grumpier lately because teeth are coming in and she gets very unhappy when she is left alone. Otherwise she is doing great and the kids love to play with her and be near her. Here are pictures of her 2 birthdays one at each grandparents house! The funny thing about the cake is that this is all that was taken out of the cake and I helped her get this much out. She only poked at the cake and she never put any in her mouth I gave her a few tastes but she wasn't interested to do it herself.

Utah in the Fall

Mom, Heather, Olivia, Will, Madalynn and I went up into American Fork Canyon on Saturday to see all the pretty fall colors. It was very fun we caught it in between rain storms, by the time we were getting done it started to rain again and it rained for awhile after that. There were a few picnicers that had to run to their cars I am sure! We went exploring on some dirt roads and almost felt like we were 4 wheeling it was so bumpy, but very fun! The kids loved getting out of the car and walking around, Will kept saying "I want to walk on the paths". We are going to take James up there when he comes home this weekend and let the climb and hike a little. A very fun and beautiful day!
